Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy utilizes the various property of water to help us improve your pets mobility and health. Exercising in water has the benefit of providing both buoyancy and resistance, making it possible to strengthen and condition muscles and build endurance without placing stress on joints. Exercising in warm water (29-30 degrees) can also dilate blood vessels and relax joints and muscles, easing aches and pains and aiding in healing of injuries.

How does it work?

  • The buoyancy properties of water minimize weight bearing stress to the joints, which helps prevent and manage tissue injuries, inflammation and pain.
  • Water helps provide additional sensory input on the skin which helps your pets become aware of their body.
  • Resistance provided by the water along with adjusting speed of the belt, height of the water, incline and jets helps to improve your dog's strength and stamina.

What conditions can hydrotherapy help with?

  • Weak muscles
  • Underdeveloped muscles
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Hip dysplasia
  • Patella luxation
  • IVDD
  • Paralysed and three-legged dogs

Laser Therapy

Laser therapy has been proven to reduce pain, speed healing, and reduce inflammation. Dogs who suffer from any combination of pain, inflammation, or slow-healing wounds can benefit from laser treatments.

How does it work?

Lasers differ from one another in both the wavelength and strength of light that they produce. Therapy laser light stimulates the mitochondria within the cells to help tissues heal. A cascade of beneficial effects then takes place at the cellular level which accelerates blood flow, heals tissue, and reduces pain and decreases inflammation and edema.

The laser precipitates the release of endorphins, enhancing nerve cell regeneration and inhibiting the release of neurotransmitters across the receptors that feel pain in the muscles, dulling the perception of pain. This increases circulation to the inflamed area and allows the body to move fluid away from the affected area.

What conditions can laser therapy help with?

  • Older pets with arthritis
  • Muscle or tendon sprain/strain injury
  • Cruciate ligament rupture
  • Back pain
  • Nerve pain
  • Non healing wounds on the body or the paw
  • Laser acupuncture for pets that are averse to needling

TENS & NMES

TENS and NMES, are both forms of electrotherapy that target the nerves via a mild electrical current. The primary purpose of TENS is to provide pain relief, whereas NMES is used to treat muscular weakness.

How does it work?

The machine which delivers the electrical current is a small battery-operated device, with sticky pads called electrodes that are placed on the treatment area. When the machine is on, the impulses pass through the electrodes into the body, causing a tingling sensation or contraction.

What conditions can TENS and NMES help with?

TENS and NMES can help with condition such as:
- Arthritis
- Post-surgical pain
- Chronic pain
- Prevention of Muscle Atrophy
- Nerve injury recovery
- Improve circulation
- Weakness and paralysis

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is the insertion of small, thin, stainless-steel needles into specific points or areas on the body to bring positive effects on the nervous and physiologic systems.

How does it work?

Acupuncture stimulates peripheral nerves, sending signals to the central nervous system to modulate pain and activate the release of endorphins and other neurotransmitters like serotonin. It enhances blood flow, reduces inflammation through cytokine regulation, and balances the autonomic nervous system by promoting parasympathetic activity. These mechanisms work together to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and support healing, making acupuncture an effective therapy for various conditions such as arthritis, nerve injuries, and post-surgical recovery.

What conditions can acupuncture help with?

  • Any condition that causes pain such as arthritis hip dysplasia, cruciate ligament injury, intervertebral disc disease
  • Paralyzed dogs or cats
  • Weak back legs
  • Poor blood circulation and generalized weakness
  • Used in conjunction with dietary therapies to support chronic diseases such as IBD, liver disease, kidney disease and respiratory issues.

Are you sure that your dog receive a good nutrition for their body? Or Unsure that the food given is enough and matches their elements? We provides nutritional analysis for your dogs to make sure they receive the correct and balance nutrition!

Food is essential for a dog's health, providing nutrients for energy, growth, and bodily functions. A balanced diet supports immunity, muscle strength, and organ health while preventing issues like obesity and allergies. Proper nutrition also enhances mental well-being, ensuring dogs stay active and happy throughout life.

The 5 Elements of Food?

Do you know that there are 5 food elements based of Traditional Chinese Medicine? They are Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, Wood.

TCM sees food as medicine, capable of balancing deficiencies or excesses in these elements. Each element corresponds to a flavor:
- Wood nourishes the liver and aids digestion,
- Fire supports the heart and circulation,
- Earth strengthens the spleen and boosts energy,
- Metal enhances lung function and immunity, and
- Water nourishes the kidneys and regulates fluids.

By incorporating these elements into the diet, TCM aims to restore harmony and promote overall health in dogs. So, which one is your dog's element?
